For The Love of Photos
I remember I got my first camera when I was 5 years old. It was a Kodak Instamatic circa 1965. It was my mom’s when she was a kid. It was so much fun! And then my first “brand new” camera I got when I was 8 years old. It was a pink Kodak Pazzazz. Totally rad. I felt so fancy because this camera had a flash! What intrigued me about the camera at a young age, was the ability to “press pause”. I loved being able to save a piece of a moment for later and come back to it over and over again. Those photos were uniquely mine and no one else’s because I took the pictures. And it didn’t matter to me if they were blurry, off-centered, over exposed or under exposed; they were my point of view and no one could take that away from me. Ever since then I’ve had a love relationship with the camera and preserving beauty in the life around me through photographs. Now, instead of arranging my Cabbage Patch dolls for a picture, I’m shooting pics of my real life “dolls”, our son and daughter and everything else in between.
When Matt and I first met we shared a love of photography and it was always a dream for us to start our own photography business. We’ve been blessed to have that dream come true and it’s a joy to be able to work as husband and wife. We never get sick of each other…..ehhh, that’s a lie. 🙂 And now we’re on to our next dream: Pro Photo Support. Offering a safe, homey, fun, educational place for photographers to come together as a community, develop long lasting friendships, learn from each, share with each other, help each other, encourage each other and just have fun. We’re so glad you’re part of the crew! Anyone who likes taking pictures we consider a best buddy.
